Bangin’ Berries

April 9, 2007 on 9:37 pm | In Growing Log |

If I could only put the smell of these aeroponic strawberries into words.  Not to mention the fact that they are really, really, ridiculously good looking.  I can’t wait to eat them.

  1. Hey, are there any new flowers forming? That’s kind of necessary for the whole “continual harvest” thing.

  3. Hey are you still updating this blog? The “strawberry cam” hasn’t changed in a long time..surely you’ve eaten the first strawberries by now. Can you let us know how they are doing? I have some of these growing in my Aerogarden and they are producing a few berries but overall the plants are not doing very well.

  5. I jut recieved my Aerogarden from QVC today. It is the brand new AeroGarden Pro 100. This is my very first unit. I will let you know in a week how everything is working out for me.

I got the unit from QVC as a Todays Special Value on Sunday for $149 and includes 3 seed kits.

Looks like these things are starting to become a serious item to buy for home cooking.

BTW, have you looked at the bulb anymore? Do you see any reason why we can not get another brand from a hardware store?

    Thanks,

  7. I bought the strawberries for my aerogarden and didn’t get a single berry. I had one plant that I thought was going to make it and finally, the leaves have all wilted and it looks like that was a waste of $40 - plus the electricity to run it for the past few months. Prior to this I loved my aerogarden.

  8. My gosh….those strawberries look absolutely deliscious. I wish I could have them right now. That aerogarden must be very good to produce them.

  10. Hmmm those strawberries look delicious in the video. I’ll have to give that a try. I know I bought my aerogarden about 7 months ago now and I tried the herbs which worked great. I haven’t tried the strawberries yet but my wife and I will be getting that very soon. Great job on your blog!
